TOP 30 Best Web Analytics Tools: Google Analytics Alternatives (2026)

TOP 30 Best Web Analytics Tools: Google Analytics Alternatives (2026)

If you have a website and want it to perform, data measurement is essential. Personal perception is important, but metrics always have the final say and will guide you on what to improve or change on your site.

Since July 2023, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the only version of Google Analytics available, marking the end of Universal Analytics. This new generation of GA has led many companies to seek alternatives focused on privacy, server-side tracking, and compliance with regulations like GDPR. The removal of third-party cookies in Chrome with Privacy Sandbox has also driven the adoption of new solutions.

While GA4 is a powerful and free tool, it has some weaknesses: it can be somewhat complex to use and understand. Although GA4 is designed with privacy in mind, many companies prefer tools that offer a “privacy-first” approach from their inception. Additionally, server-side tracking (sGTM) has become a standard for improving data accuracy and privacy.

Many free and paid alternatives exist that can fulfil the same function and may even be a superior option for your needs. That's why we've created two lists: one with what we consider to be the best options on the market, and a second with other tools that can also help you with basic measurements for your eCommerce.

In both cases, the order is alphabetical. Remember that this is a list open to suggestions, so if you know of a tool we haven't included and you think we should, please leave a comment at the end of the article.

The best alternative tools to Google Analytics:

Other web analytics tools to consider:

Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)

In today's digital world, all businesses rely on a digital presence to promote their brand, sell products, and engage with customers. Adobe has evolved its offering from Adobe Analytics to Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) to provide a more holistic view of the customer journey. CJA integrates with the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), allowing for unified analysis of data from multiple sources, both online and offline.

Let's get into it. We hope that after this, you will have an initial understanding of CJA, Web Analytics in general, and whether this is a path you wish to explore further.

First, let's try to understand what an interested party in an e-commerce company needs. A general requirement would be to "maximise the ROI of digital investment (e-shop, mobile app, etc.)". How this translates to your particular case is subjective. Most often, it's about maximising revenue, increasing ARPU, customer retention, NPS, or something similar. Someone will argue that this information already exists in the CRM system, in a transactional database, or from the third party sending surveys. CJA allows consolidating and analysing all this data to gain a complete view.
